Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the manbrief mobile application (the “App”), provided by Karol Knapik, based in Poland (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. The service

manbrief provides concise summaries and key ideas drawn from books on personal development, discipline, and character. The content is for general educational and informational purposes only. It is not professional, medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and should not be relied upon as a substitute for such advice.

2. Your account

• You may use parts of the App as a guest. Some features require an account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your country, to create an account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly share the App’s content beyond your personal use;
• scrape, extract, or bulk-download content by automated means;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems;
• use the App in any unlawful way or to infringe the rights of others.

4. Intellectual property

The summaries, text, design, and other materials in the App are original works created or licensed by us and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the content within the App for your own, non-commercial use. The books referenced remain the property of their respective authors and publishers; manbrief is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by them, and our summaries are our own interpretation of ideas found in those works.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

The App is currently offered free of charge. If paid features or subscriptions are introduced, purchases will be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel them in your app store account settings. Any applicable pricing and free-trial terms will be shown before you purchase.

6. Disclaimer

The App and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the content is complete or accurate.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or use the App in a way that could harm others or us.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country in which you reside.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
